except for emergencies, you should consult your pediatrician or General Practitioner who will decide whether you need a diagnostic test or the intervention of the emergency department (ED).

Specialist visits/Diagnostic tests
If your GP, pediatrician or ER physician decide you need diagnostic or laboratory tests, health tests and scans, you must make an appointment at the Centralized Appointment Center (called "CUP"). Usually patients are required to pay medical fees (called "Ticket"). In some specific cases, you may be exempted from the payment due to income or health reasons. You will be given an appointment at a clinic, health center or hospital.
The day of the appointment you need to bring with you:
- The prescription from your doctor,
- The appointment receipt,
- The receipt of payment of medical fees (called "ticket").

At the nearest Centralized Appointment Center (called "CUP").

If you need a dental visit
In case of emergency you can go directly to a dentist who works in the public sector. You may be required to pay a fee. For other dentistry services, please contact your Local Health Unit (Maps)
